The Choice You Make Will Be The Ride You Take

Yesterday I wrote a post regarding the importance of listening to your REALTOR® for lender referrals.

Today I want to pick up the subject and take it a bit further.  If you use a major bank or mortgage broker to package your loan it’s critical to find that loan officer that understands how to package your file and work the system.  Those that are successful understand all the pitfalls and changes going on in the mortgage industry, advise Clients on what documents are required, and have learned there way through the internal labyrinth of the broken and paranoid systems.

Pick the wrong loan officer and all you’re going to get is non-returned phone calls, ill advised advice, excuses, and a very unpleasant experience at best. Years ago while traveling in Taiwan, the Taxi drivers that did not honk before the accident were at fault. It always made for a wild stressful ride.

So why does your REALTOR® have the answer?

A good REALTOR® can give you contact names at most of the major institutions and mortgage brokers.  We know from past experience who can get the job done, and who will make the experience like a bad taxi ride in Taiwan.  Add that to the fact that by us using these contacts through the years, they are not only looking to do a good job for you, but also for future referrals from the REALTOR®.

It’s a crazy ride right now, and the street scene is constantly changing.  Having a professional REALTOR® on your side can make that ride a lot more pleasant.
