Part 8: Use a REALTOR® over a Real Estate Salesperson
There are advantages using a REALTOR® over a real estate salesperson.
A REALTOR® is a member of the National, State, and Local Association of REALTORS® and is a trade organization.
The big advantage in my mind for the Client is the Code of Ethics that all REALTORS® subscribe to as a requirment of membership. No such code exsists for those licensed by the State of California as a real estate salesperson. If you want to know more please see Advantages of using a REALTOR®.
Other things to look for in your choice of a REALTOR®: are they a real estate salesperson or real estate broker and do they have any professional designations like GRI, ePro, or CRS?
Why not choose someone that has taken the time to be a the top of their field both in licensing and membership.
