Part 6: Real Estate is Complicated and Requires Constant Communication

The reason that us REALTORS® have survived is pretty simple.  Buying and Selling real estate is a very complicated process involving marketing, contracts, emotions, market knowledge, legal issues, disclsure issues, and a multitude of others items you probably haven’t thought about.

Most people only buy or sell three or so homes in their lives.  It may happen over a period of 30 years with lots of changes between each move – it’s complicated with big stake results.

Finding a REALTOR® that communicates with you through this process is really critical to your success and understanding of important issues – things that can hurt financially.

It is no secret that our industry levels entire forests of trees to throw disclosure after disclosure at you – the normal residential transaction has over 30 pages of disclosure in California, or more depending on the age of the property.  Any normal person soon is so overcome with the volume that they miss the original point of the disclosures.

Your REALTOR® can communicate what is important in this paper storm, and what is NOT.  Each step of the way through this lengthly process they can communicate with you the importance of a particular inspection, disclosure, or contract inclusion.

Your REALTOR® should be able to communicate in your preferred manner.  It can be phone, e-mail, texting, twitter, or whatever.  Personally when communicating the important items with my Clients I will use multiple platforms to get the importance of the issue across.
